YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Parents of the Lakeland School District have formed a new group called "Parents for a Common Cause" in an effort to help educate fellow parents about the new Common Core standards that are now in place, according to Patch.com.
A new parents group has been formed in Lakeland schools to help bring change to Common Core standards.
The new group will hold a meeting at Lakeland High School on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. to provide information to parents in order to better understand the new standards, Patch.com reported.
