Former Assistant Principal Dan Callahan and, more recently, Director of Technology Mathew Swerdloff supervised energy use at all building levels, working with a program designed by the technology-powered, data-driven energy conservation company, an energy specialist.

“This energy program is an excellent vehicle to assist our personnel in practicing good stewardship of our resources," said Joseph E. Hochreiter, superintendent of schools.

"The willing participation of virtually every staff person – faculty, administrators, food service, maintenance and custodial workers – adds to our success."

Charles Fasnacht represented Cenergistic in presenting a plaque to Hochreiter, Swerdloff, Board of Education President Mary Pat Briggi and Assistant Superintendent for Business Enrique Catalan.

Over a period of 22 months, Hendrick Hudson already has saved enough energy to effectively plant more than 29,614 trees. The program delivers an environmental benefit from significantly reducing the district’s carbon footprint.
