CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Hendrick Hudson High School Theatre in Cortlandt presents "The Laramie Project" by Moises Kaufman and the members of the Tectonic Theatre Project.

This project portrays the true story of Matthew Sheppard, a Wyoming University student who was brutally beaten and left to die because he was gay. It is directed by Clare Carey. Seventeen students play 60 different roles.

Kaufman and members of the Tectonic Theatre Project, traveled to Laramie. Wyo. to conduct interviews with the townspeople. The play is edited from those interviews.

The performances will be Nov. 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the High School. General admission tickets are available at the door - $15 for adults/$10 for senior citizens and students. This show is for mature audiences, it is not recommended for children.
