MONTROSE, N.Y. – Six Hendrick Hudson High School students have qualified to attend a national health professions conference this summer in Anaheim, Calif.
The following students qualified due to their performances in HOSA: Future Health Professionals’ New York state competition, according to a press release.
- Scott Glaser, third place in dental terminology category.
- Olivia Young, third place in the pharmacology division.
- Megan Cruikshank, Peter Manthey, Deepa Mistry and Brandon Renda qualified to take the health care issues exam.
“To have so many students qualify for Nationals our first time competing really says something about the caliber of our students!” Jeanine Hall, biomed teacher at the Montrose school, said in a press release. “I couldn’t be more proud,”
The conference is June 24-27.
Activities will include a competitive events program, a number of networking opportunities, tours of healthcare facilities in Southern California, exhibits, and workshops.
“It is not clear how many of the Hen Hud students will be able to attend, but it is an honor to have achieved this opportunity,” Hall said.
