Hen Hud Schools Announce Early Dismissal For Friday

CORTLANDT, N.Y. - Hendrick Hudson School District announced all schools would be, "on an early dismissal schedule," Friday, due to Winter Storm Nemo anticipated to hit northern Westchester on Friday evening. 

The storm is anticipated to dump between 12 and 16 inches of snow on northern Westchester, according to the National Weather Service. The NWS increased the anticipated snowfall at about 4 p.m., Thursday, revising earlier forecasts of 10 to 14 inches and predicting "near white-out conditions" by Friday evening.

The most intense snowfall and winds are anticipated to hit Friday evening, into Saturday morning. The winter storm warning is in effect for the lower Hudson Valley from 7 a.m. Friday morning until 1 p.m. Saturday.
