During a period of several days parents, teachers and fellow students visited the school’s gymnasium, where a wide variety of experiments and research projects were on view, each one complete with the traditional three-panel cardboard display.  The youngest students to view the fair carried clipboards with a scavenger-hunt-style list of items to check off once the children had seen them.

“I’m still looking for salt,” one little girl said to a visitor. “Have you seen salt anywhere?”
