Kindergarten, first- and second-grade students all used the number 100 in a variety of ways and activities throughout the day. They ranged from wearing interesting hats to dressing up as 100-year-old versions of themselves.
One class even held a Hershey Kiss hunt around their classroom, working together to track down 100 kisses.
Another group of kindergarten and second-grade students joined forces in thinking about their likes and dislikes in hundreds.
There were plenty of ideas, as one student wished he had 100 trucks to play with, could give his mom 100 flowers and his dad 100 tools. Another couldn’t eat 100 crabs, but he could easily consume 100 pieces of spaghetti, his favorite food. A candy-loving student would love to eat 100 M&Ms, but would pass on 100 tomatoes or bowls of salad to eat.
Some students even donned white hair, leaning on canes and wearing suspenders, embracing being 100 years old for the day.
