Croton Science Research Students Earn Accolades

CROTON-HARMON, N.Y. — Croton-Harmon science research students were among the winners at the recent Westchester Science and Engineering Fair at Sleepy Hollow High School, which hosted students from across the county.

The winners from Croton-Harmon High School:

  • Sara Spencer with the Arizona State University Walton Sustainability Solutions Initiative, given for solutions to sustainability challenges. She was also invited to take part in a competition at Arizona State.
  • Jacy Pare and Jacob Ross were honored by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for their work that best emphasizes the NOAA's mission. The pair also won the Teatown Young Conservationist Award for their research on natural habitats and ecosystems.
  • Emily Grossman took third place in the Medicine and Health category as well.
