Croton Schools' Destination Imagination Teams Place At Global Competition

CROTON-HARMON, N.Y. – Middle and high school students from the Croton-Harmon School District had a strong showing at the international Destination Imagination competition in Knoxville, Tenn. in May

Pitted against 15,000 students from across the world, the Croton-Harmon High School team placed fourth in “Brand Aid,” which focuses on community service.

The second CHHS team, “010001010100001001001111: The Musical,” also placed ninth in the “Creature Feature” technical challenge.

“Placing in the top 10 in a category at globals is a remarkable achievement, and two of our Croton-Harmon High School teams achieved that honor,” team coordinators Zhanna Glazenburg, L.B. Luebbers and Anne-Marie Stok said in a statement. “Top 10 achievers are listed on the big screens for all attendees to see.”

Another CHHS team “Mom,” finished 13th in “The Improv Games.”

Cortlandt Middle School sent two teams to the competition. “Julien’s hair is literally a metaphor for life” finished 18th in the middle school version of “Brand Aid” and “The Taped Mirrors” placed 27th in the project outreach challenge.
