Croton Middle School Students Show Off Robotics Skills At Expo

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- Students from the Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School in Croton-on-Hudson shared their enthusiasm for robotics recently at the United Nations International School Robotics Expo in New York City.

Teacher Lauren Scollins said students showcased their dancing robots and tackled challenges that included: follow-the-line, table and sumo-bot. In the sumo-bot event, the participant’s robot had to stay within a ring and push the opponent’s robot out.

“It was a really wonderful day,” Scollins said.
