The final election results are as follows:
Iris Cross-Bugliosi – 491 (winner)
Josh Diamond – 432 (winner)
Yariv Alpher - 346
Brian Aspinwall - 334
Jason Stern - 258
Diamond, who was traveling with the district's Destination Imagination teams Wednesday, said he was honored that the public had chosen to elect him to the school Board.
"I look forward to working with my new colleague, Iris Cross-Bugliosi, and with the other members of the board, to achieve the goal which I have always thought paramount," Diamond said. "To provide each and every student with an education appropriate to their needs, ability, hopes and desires, and to thereby support the next generation of brilliant thinkers, community leaders, talented artists, and innovators. Thank you to my family, my friends, and to all of my supporters for making this great result possible."
Calls to Cross-Bugliosi for comment were not immediately returned.
The 2013-14 district and library budgets were also approved by a wide margin:
Budget: Yes - 735 No - 276
Library: Yes - 801 No - 221
