Cortlandt’s Blue Mountain Middle School Hosts Career Day

CORTLANDT, N.Y. – A number of professionals along with some Hendrick Hudson High School students recently participated in a career day at Cortlandt’s Blue Mountain Middle School.

Speakers included a firefighter, several Pepsi employees, Hendrick Hudson School District Superintendent Joseph E. Hochreiter, a real estate agent, a scientist, a software engineer, a graphic designer, a professional dog trainer and a music business owner, according to a press release.

Hen Hud High School students who serve on the Civil Air Patrol also participated in the full day of speeches and other career-oriented activities.

This year’s career day had the largest community participation in the history of the event, and the students truly enjoyed the day, said teachers and schedule coordinators Donna Miller and Logan Stoddard in a press release.
