The 55 pies and hand-made cards were donated to the Jan Peek House Homeless Shelter in Peekskill on Tuesday afternoon (delivered by teacher Catherine Holzman, third-grade students Ashley M. and Mia O. and their moms). All unused ingredients (flour, sugar, butter, apples) were also donated to the Jan Peek House.

All ingredients for the pies were donated by the families of the students and the third-grade teachers at the school in the Hendrick Hudson School District.
