Kennedy first started in real estate when she was just 21-years-old and has seen her career grow significantly since then. "I bought my first house when I was 21 and I found the process fascinating," said Kennedy. "I couldn't afford what I wanted, so I flipped properties three years in a row and the broker that I was working with at the time told me I had a knack for this and asked me to try it for a living. I've been a real estate broker for 32 years now and I've never felt like I had a job."
In 2017 alone, Kennedy sold 169 properties worth over $90,000,000. While deserving of the distinction to be named one of REAL Trends top annual brokers, Kennedy had to prove herself at a young age. "At first it was intimidating because the people I worked with weren't sure I would earn credibility with the clients because I was so young," said Kennedy. "Luckily, the first client I showed a home bought the property and it has been a great career since then."
For Kennedy, continuing to succeed in her career meant understanding real estate inside and out. "I've treated my career as a business, and I'm very focused on the goals of my clients," said Kennedy. "I work with people that have an attitude of 'whatever it takes' and we are extremely passionate about what we do."
While the role of a real estate professional has changed over the years, Kennedy has stayed up to date on the most recent trends and innovations. "The digital world has really revolutionized the industry, and the consumer is very informed before they come to us," said Kennedy. "Our role has changed to interpret the information and guide them."
