The Silo Ridge Field Club homes will range from $1 to $10 million, and will include condominiums and townhomes along with estate lots that could have up to two acres of land.
Discovery Land Company is the developer of the project. The company has developed some of the most prestigious residential golf communities in the world, according to the Silo Ridge website.
“There is nothing in this area with this level of amenities and luxury and services,” Michael Meldman, the chief executive of Discovery Land, said in an article in The New York Times in March.
Potential homebuyers will have plenty of options. The Village Green Condominium and Lodge units, 2-4 bedrooms and 2,500-3,500 square feet, will be in the heart of the village green. They will be close to dining, spa, fitness and the golf clubhouse.
Club Meadow, Lakeside and Village Green homes will feature 83 detached units. The homes will have 3,100-4,800 square feet and will have views of the Silo Ridge property, including golf, a lake and the Dutchess County countryside.
The 57 estate lots will have from anywhere from 3/4 to 2+ acres, with views of Connecticut, Massachusetts and beyond.
The marvelous homes will be accompanied by recreation options for everyone. The Tom Fazio-designed 18-hole golf course is the centerpiece of Silo Ridge. The new course will offer dramatic views, challenging terrain and lush landscaping. The new clubhouse will have a pro shop and an intimate restaurant.,
At the heart of Silo Ridge, a family barn will offer kids activities such as a paint studio, game room, bowling alley and theater; arcade, milkshake bar and diner; swimming pool, trampolines and tree houses; organic garden and greenhouses for farm-to-table dining; outdoor amphitheater for concerts and movies, ice skating and bocce.
The indoor fieldhouse will be available for squash, tennis, paddle tennis, racquetball, lacrosse, field hockey, basketball and soccer. Professional coaching and locker rooms with gear storage will also be part of the development.
Families will also have access to an Olympic-caliber equestrian center, clay shooting and camping.
Hart Howerton will be the designer, architect and landscape architect for the project. Developers are hopeful the homes will attract many New York City dwellers looking for a housing option away from town.
