Teaneck Zone Changes Pave Way For Apartment Complexes

TEANECK, N.J. -- The Teaneck Township Council approved two zoning changes that will open the door to more residential development in the coming years, according to NorthJersey.com. 

The Family Office, a long term client of Progress Capital is constructing a 7-story apartment building with a 2-story garage in Teaneck, NJ comprised of 128 residential units, ranging from 1-bedroom to 3-bedroom with den and balcony.

The zoning changes appear to be in line with the 2007 Master Plan that called for expansion of multifamily residential development, NorthJersey.com reported. 

Some officials claim the multifamily development as a path to keeping affordable housing in Teaneck while critics remain weary of the over urbanization of the community, NorthJersey.com said.
