Friday, May 17

Whole Foods Opening: 8:30 a.m. The Whole Foods store in Danbury is opening with specials and new items not available at any other store. Shops At Marcus Dairy, 5 Sugar Hollow Road, Danbury.

Saturday, May 18

Run for Sandy Hook: 7 a.m. The 5K run will go to benefit the Sandy Hook charties and is sponsored by students and teachers at Rogers Park Middle School in honor of the lives that were lost at the tragedy in Sandy Hook Elementary School. Rogers Park Middle School, 21 Memorial Drive, Danbury.

Document Shredding Day: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Ridgefield Lions Club will have their Shredding truck out behind the Starbucks on Danbury Road. Bring all your old papers, bank statements, receipts, tax forms, etc to the parking lot behind Starbucks to be shredded by SECURE ECOSHRED.  Each box will cost $10. Paper clips and/or staples do not have to be removed. Starbucks, 94 Danbury Road, Ridgefield.

Sunday, May 19

Orchestra Concert: 4 p.m. The Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra will be performing its spring concert at Ridgefield High School. All are welcome to attend, tickets are $15 for adults and children over 12, and $10 for seniors and children under 12. Ridgefield High School, 700 N. Salem Road, Ridgefield.
