Vice President Joe Biden has not made his intentions known regarding the 2016 presidential election, but after receiving a blessing from Barack Obama, the question, now more than ever, is should Biden seek the Oval Office?

If elected, Biden would be 73-years-old when he took office, making him nearly four years older than Ronald Reagan, who is the oldest president to be inaugurated. Reagan was 69 years old when he won his first election against Jimmy Carter.

Biden does, however, have a strong enough resume to seek the Democratic nomination. Biden served as Delaware's senator for 36 years before joining Obama's presidential ticket in 2008.
