CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- A public debate featuring candidates for village trustee will be held on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 7p.m. in the Ottinger Room at the Croton Free Library, at 171 Cleveland Drive.
Doors will open to the public at 6:30 p.m. Croton residents are encouraged to arrive by 6:30 if they wish to submit a written question for the candidates.
The debate is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of the Rivertowns; the league is providing an independent timekeeper and moderator.
"We look forward to our return to Croton-on-Hudson after several years and hope to be of service to this community in the months and years ahead," said Susan Goodwin, president of the Rivertowns League.
"We welcome new members to our growing league; that includes men as well as young residents who care about issues like voting rights, campaign finance reform, and redistricting reform."
This event is free and open to the public. It will also be televised on the Local Government Public Access channel 78.
