Reporter Details Cuomo's Charge Of Eavesdropping

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- New York Daily News reporter Ken Lovett offered up a response to a section of Gov. Andrew Cuomo's new book where the Democratic incumbent accused Lovett of "eavesdropping" on a meeting with his advisors in 2010 when he was mistakenly left on a call.

In the book, Cuomo says that Lovett placed a call to Josh Vlasto, who was part of Cuomo's meeting where the soon-to-be governor and his advisors discussed dealing with challenger Carl Paladino. Vlasto intended to put Lovett through to his voicemail, but apparently inadvertently kept the reporter on the line, allowing him to hear what was said during the meeting, the Daily News said.

After reading the section of the book where Cuomo accused Lovett of violating New York's eavesdropping laws, Lovett wrote his recollection of the events which tell a different story.
