Primary Election Results Are Tallied In Cortlandt

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- The results are in for several primary elections in Cortlandt races for councilman and town justice.

Debra Carter-Costello and Seth Freach won the Democratic Party nominations for councilman with 30-percent and 25-percent of the vote, respectively, over Brian Pugh and Domenic Volpe.

Theresa Knickerbocker and Volpe will be councilman nominees on the Independence Party ticket with 31-percent and 28-percent of the vote, respectively.

Shari Gordon topped Geri Klein in the race for town justice nominee in both the Independence Party and Worker's Party nominations.

Duane Jackson ran unopposed for the District 1 county legislator nomination in the Independence Party.

As of Wednesday morning, 97-percent of the vote had been tallied.
