The committee voted on its endorsements after interviews with and presentations by all interested candidates at its most recent meeting in May.

“Leo Wiegman's years of experience and meaningful relationships throughout Westchester County, combined with Maria Slippen’s track record of community outreach and Andy Levitt’s commitment to frank discussion make for a team with the vision and strength to control taxes while building for our future,” said Democratic Committee Chair Paul Rolnick.

“Once again I am proud to be part of a strong slate of candidates. I appreciate the opportunity that each campaign presents us to meeting with voters and share our ideas. This year's team has a vision for the future that will continue to build on our accomplishments," said Wiegman, upon being nominated.

“Service on the board gives me the opportunity to continue making a positive impact on my community in a unique and meaningful way. It is truly an honor to work closely with staff on initiatives that benefit all residents. I look forward to seeing many of these projects through to the end successfully after the November election,” said Slippen.

"It’s an honor to serve, and we have an ongoing responsibility to ensure that Croton continues to offer the best quality of life possible for all of our residents. I believe this is the team to make that happen,” said Levitt.

“With our strong slate in Croton along with Trustees Ann Gallelli and Brian Pugh, we have five individuals with the experience, knowledge and passion to keep Croton everything we know it can be – a vibrant community, a great place to live, raise a family and retire, and an inviting destination for visitors. We look forward to a positive campaign and another victory in November,” said Rolnick.
