“With two of our board members retiring, Cortlandt needs Debbie Carter-Costello and Seth Freach to take their place," Puglisi said in a statement.  "They will use their experience and dedication to maintain the effective government that we have worked so hard to build over the years."

Carter-Costello and Freach also have the support of current Town Council members Frank Farrell and Dr. Richard Becker. Cortlandt Democratic Chair John McBride said that the unanimity of support of the current supervisor and Town Board members demonstrated the quality of the two candidates.

"I’m honored to have the endorsement of Supervisor Linda Puglisi and the Town Board members," Carter-Costello said in a statement. "I’m very excited to have this opportunity to run with the Puglisi team and look forward to serving the Town of Cortlandt as the next Town Councilwoman.”

The primary will be held on Sept. 10.
