Yorktown Man Charged After Breaking Woman's Phone, Police Say

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – Ramon Morales Jr., a 34-year-old Yorktown resident, has been charged with criminal mischief after he intentionally damaged a cell phone belonging to another person on Tuesday, Dec. 9, according to Yorktown police.

Police say they received a call from a female resident at Underhill Avenue reporting a domestic dispute. Officers responded to the scene, and following an investigation, Morales was arrested for the incident, police said.

Following processing at police headquarters, Morales was arraigned by a judge and served with a temporary order of protection and remanded to the Westchester County Jail, police said. His bail is set for $1,000, police said. Morales Jr., is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 6 p.m.
