Woman Who Crashes Into Snowbank In Yorktown Charged With DWI, Police Say

 A 21-year-old woman from Stormville was arrested for drinking and driving over the weekend after police offered her an assist when she drove into a snowbank near Route 6 in Yorktown.

At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Friday, March 17, police were on patrol when they spotted a vehicle off to the side of the roadway that was stuck in a snow bank on Barger Street.

According to police, the operator of the vehicle was identified as Megan Nicolette Selca, who was allegedly driving while intoxicated. She was arrested by Yorktown police officers and charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content greater than .08 percent, both misdemeanors.

Selca was processed at the Yorktown Police Department and released on her own recognizance. She is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, March 30 to answer the charges.
