Woman Menaces Utility Workers With Knife In Hudson Valley, Police Say

A 60-year-old area woman was arrested and sent to jail after screaming at utility workers and menacing them with a knife and pepper spray, state police said.

The incident occurred at around noon on Wednesday, June 27 when troopers responded to Madalin Court in the Dutchess County village of Tivoli for a report of a woman screaming at Central Hudson work crews in the area. 

An investigation found Mona F. Herman of Tivoli also menaced the workers with a knife and pepper spray, police said.

She was charged with menacing in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor.

After being arraigned before the Village of Red Hook Court, she was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,500 bond.

Herman is next scheduled to appear before the Court on July 2, 2018,
