Woman Charged With Stealing $283 In Merchandise At Kohl's In Cortlandt

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- A Carmel woman has been charged with petit larceny following an incident at Kohl's Department Store in Cortlandt on Tuesday.

State Police were dispatched to Kohl’s for a reported larceny on Monday.

Following an investigation conducted with the assistance of Kohl’s loss prevention, it was discovered that Jessica Fox, 43, selected several items from the store and only paid for one item.

She then exited the store failing to pay for approximately $283 worth of merchandise.

Loss prevention recovered the items outside of the store and Fox left prior to police arrival.

Fox was taken into custody at her residence and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Cortlandt Court on Sept. 11 on charges of petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor.
