State Police in Cortlandt arrested a 51-year-old Putnam County woman after she was busted twice on surveillance video allegedly attempting to burglarize a family member’s home in Northern Westchester.

Troopers were dispatched on Wednesday, May 3 to an Adele Court home in Cortlandt, where there was a reported burglary. According to police, surveillance video from the inside property showed Cold Spring resident Kathleen O’Donnell entering the home, which is owned by a relative, and searching.

Police said that O’Donnell’s 2011 GMC Terrain was later spotted by members of the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Cold Spring, and she was subsequently arrested. She is also accused of burglarizing the same home two days prior.

O’Donnell was arrested and charged with two felony counts of second-degree burglary. She was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandt Court in front of Judge Daniel McCarthy and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail or $10,000 bond.
