A Westchester County man has been arraigned on a 91-count indictment charging him with allegedly repeatedly violating court issued Order of Protections involving his child’s mother and grandmother.

Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced that Yonkers resident Talib Waters, 30, has been arraigned on 91 counts, including one count of bribing a witness, six counts of first-degree criminal contempt, 42 counts of aggravated family offense, and 42 counts of second-degree criminal contempt dating back to multiple instances last year involving the family.

Scarpino said that on Nov. 7 last year, Waters violated a full order of protection in favor of his child’s mother by entering her Yonkers home. He violated it again the following two days and was arrested on Nov. 9. Waters went on to violate the same order of protection on Dec. 25 when he approached his child’s mother and grandmother. He violated the order again on Dec. 27 when he was rearrested by police.

Between Oct. 1 last year and Jan. 31, Scarpino said that Waters sent the victim dozens of letters, in violation of the Order of Protection in place, in one particular letter, he offered her a sum of money to drop the charges pending against him.

Waters is due back in court later this year to answer the charges. He will face a maximum of 2 ⅓ to seven years if convicted of bribing a witness, which is a class D felony.
