Brian M. Porteus, 41, allegedly drove his white Kia through a steady red light at the intersection of Route 6 and Sunnyside Street. After being stopped, a computer check revealed that Porteus was driving with a revoked New York State driver’s license and that his vehicle was not equipped with an ignition interlock device, required by his restrictions on his driver license.

Porteus was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree, operating a motor vehicle without an ignition interlock device and passing a red light.

He was released on $200 bail and is due to appear in Yorktown Court Tuesday, Aug. 25.
