At about 12:50 a.m., two men in ski masks and winter clothes entered the BP Mart at 2030 Albany Post Road, Croton, and struck an employee several times with a handgun, police said. The men then stole an undetermined amount of cash and multiple packs of Newport cigarettes before fleeing north in the direction of Maiden Lane, police said.

One suspect was described as wearing a dark-colored bubble winter jacket with blue jeans and sneakers; the second was described as wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with blue jeans and sneakers.

The clerk was treated at Hudson Valley Hospital Center for minor injuries to his head and face. He was later released.
