Two Face Charges In Cortlandt Bar Fight

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Two Westchester County men have been arrested following a lengthy assault investigation, state police announced Sunday.

State Police in Cortlandt were dispatched to the Hudson Valley Medical Center following an altercation that occurred at the Lacuna Bar, located on Route 6 in Cortlandt on June 6. Responding Troopers learned that the victim had been hospitalized after suffering from a serious head injury as a result of the dispute.

Subsequent to a lengthy investigation, the State Police arrested Steven Rivera, 29, and Dujuan Harris, 24, both of Ossining.

Rivera was arrested on Friday, Oct. 30, and charged with gang assault in the second degree, a Class C Felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandt Justice Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.

Harris was arrested on Saturday, Oct. 31 and charged with gang assault in the first degree, a Class B Felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandt Justice Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash/bond.

Both are due to appear in the Town of Cortlandt Court at a later date.
