Franklin Brink, 16, was sent to Dutchess County Jail on Friday after his arraignment by Town of Poughkeepsie Judge Stephan Krakower. Krakower set bail at $50,000 cash or $75,000 bond on the felony charge of making a terroristic threat.

Town of Poughkeepsie police said Brink posted menacing Internet tweets on his Twitter account within a seven-hour period. His threats prompted Marist College to lock down the campus on Friday morning.

Police determined that Brink's threat was not credible and that he acted alone. Marist's main campus in Poughkeepsie reopened by midday on Friday.

Town of Poughkeepsie Police said Twitter assisted in Friday's investigation.

Also assisting were numerous law enforcement agencies including the New York State Police, Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, City of Poughkeepsie Police, FBI, Joint Terrorism Task Force, Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office and Marist College Office of Safety and Security, according to local police.
