Teens Charged With Making Terrorist Threat To School In Yorktown

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Two local teens have been charged with making a terrorist threat against the BOCES Fox Meadow School after they were overhead making violent threats to the school on Friday, Oct. 14, Yorktown Police said Monday afternoon.

Dylan R. Carbone, 16, of Brewster and Cameron J. Callahan-Monroe of Poughkeepsie, also 16, were charged with making a terroristic threat, a Class D felony, following an investigation by Yorktown detectives that they planned to bring a gun to "shoot up" the school, police said.

Carbone turned himself into police on Saturday, Oct. 15. He was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandt Justice Court and released on his own recognizance.

Callahan-Monroe turned himself into police on Thursday, Oct. 20. He was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 15.
