CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- State Police have located a man who was reported walking down Bear Moutain Bridge Road with a backpack Friday morning in Cortlandt.
Trooper Melissa McMorris, a spokeswoman for the state police, said a concerned citizen called reporting seeing the man, who was near, but never on the campus of Camp Smith.
Troopers were able to locate the man who was from out of the area and trying to explain to a cab company on his cell phone where he was, McMorris said.
"He was on his way to the VA Hospital and had gotten lost," she said.
A cab was directed to pick-up the man.
