Man, 68, Charged With Sexual Abuse, Putnam County DA Says

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Hopewell Junction man was arrested for sexual abuse of a 50-year-old female patient who was unable to consent, according to Putnam County District Attorney.

New York State Police, Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Brewster, and the Putnam County District Attorney’s Office reported the Sept.17 arrest of local non-for-profit human service organization employee, Joseph J. Faraone, 68, for one count of Criminal Sexual Act 2nd Degree and one count of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, both Class D Felonies.

Faraone is scheduled to reappear in court on Sept. 23, 2015.
