Police: Suv-driving Pair Attempt To Steal $200 Worth Of Beer At Stop & Shop

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - Westchester County Police are investigating a pair of suspects that attempted to steal nearly $200 in beer from a local grocery store in Mount Kisco.

Police were dispatched to Stop & Shop on North Bedford Road shortly after 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 14 following reports from employees that two men had attempted to leave the store without paying for nine 12-packs of beer with a value of $180.

According to police, a female employee confronted the two men who were leaving the store and was able to retrieve the beer before they drove off in a yellow SUV. The employee was able to record a license plate number, and police said that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
