CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- The Croton Police Department and the Westchester District Attorney's Office are declining to comment on reports that Lacey Carr, a 6-year-old who was found dead at her home in April, had a toxic mix of drugs in her system.

Detective Sgt. John Nikotopolis of the Croton Police Department said there was nothing new in the investigation and they were still waiting for all of the toxicology reports to come in.

Lucian Chalfen, a spokesman for the Westchester County District Attorney's Office, said they were still waiting for the medical examiner to determine the cause and manner of death.

"It's a pending investigation," Chalfen said.

A toxic mix of different drugs were present in LaceyCarr's system, the toxicology report revealed, according to a News 12 report . FiOS1 News previously reported Lacey Carr had significant amounts of Benadryl in her system.

Lacey Carr's mother, Kathleen Dymes, who was found unconscious in the house, was released late last month from Phelps Memorial Hospital. She has hired Christopher X. Mahler, an attorney who is based in Carmel.

No charges have been filed in connection with Lacey Carr's death. The investigation is ongoing and authorities are examining the possible presence of alcohol and drugs in Dymes' system, News 12 reports.

Dymes and Lacey were found by Lacey's father, David Carr. Dymes and Lacey lived at the home with Dymes' father, Kevin.

Carr wrote an open letter thanking people for their love and support after Lacey's death you can read here.

Police have ruled out carbon monoxide as a cause.
