New York State Police in Cortlandt received a call around 4:16 a.m. Saturday from a resident who claimed his 76-year-old father Mario Vallorosi had shot his 75-year-old mother in their home on Udell Court. Troopers took Mario Vallarosi into custody and "located the mother with an apparent shotgun wound to her abdomen," according to a press release from New York State Police.
