Man Injured In Poughkeepsie Motorcycle Crash

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- A Pleasant Valley man was injured Friday, Oct. 2, when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie, according to a report in the Poughkeepsie Journal.

The unidentified 19-year-old was traveling at a high rate of speed around 11:12 a.m. when he struck a guardrail near the Church Street exit, the Journal reported.

He was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for a serious leg injury, the newspaper said.
