Peekskill Man Charged With Drug Possession After Stop In Dutchess

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- A Peekskill man is facing multiple drug charges as well as driving without a license after being pulled over by state police in Dutchess County on Friday, according to officials.

Michael Cunningham, 25, was pulled over on Route 9 for allegedly failing to use a turn signal. The suspect then allegedly tried to flee on foot. When he was allegedly taken into custody he was found to be in possession of cocaine and marijuana, police said. 

Cunningham was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of marijuana. He was remanded to Dutchess County Jail without bail, police said.
