Peekskill Homicide Victim, 22, Identified

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Peekskill Police have identified the victim in Sunday's fatal shooting as Stephen Agosto, a 22-year-old Peekskill resident.

Agosto was shot and killed Sunday night at 10:20 p.m. on the 1400 block of Park Street.

He was transported to NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Chief Eric Johansen stated that detectives were following several leads in their attempt to identify and apprehend the shooter. Peekskill Police were assisted by officers from the Westchester County Department of Public Safety K9 Division.
