One-Car Crash Leads To Route 6N Closure In Mahopac

MAHOPAC, N.Y. --  A one-car crash on West Lake Boulevard early Monday led to the closure of Route 6N in Mahopac, according to the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department.

The department received a call around 6 a.m. that a driver had lost control of his car and landed on top of a wall at the entrance to Vista Terrace, said Jack Casey, public information officer for the department.

Carmel Police, Mahopac Falls Fire, EMS and Fire Police, Mahopac EMS and EMStar paramedics responded to the crash where they found the driver out of the vehicle with minor injuries, Casey said.

As first responders tended to the driver, Incident Commander Asst. Chief Brian Sacher, called off responding fire units and instructed police to temporarily close the roadway as the car was removed from the scene. 

The driver was transported by Mahopac EMS to a local hospital.
