Office Max Cashier Charged With Felony Theft

CORTLANDT, N.Y. - A teenage Office Max cashier was charged with felony grand larceny Sept. 26, after the Cortlandt Town Center retailer reported the theft of more than $1,000, say New York State Police.

Allen Agbamu, 19, of Cortlandt, was charged with felony grand larceny for an incident in which $1,133 was missing. State Police said Agbamu falsified cash register slips for a period of time, leading to an accumulation of cash.

  • Tamara Torres, 20, of Buchanan was charged with misdemeanor petit larceny at the Cortlandt Town Center. The incident was reported at 3:45 p.m. Sept. 29.
  • Michael Jaco, 31, of Yonkers, was charged with misdemeanor operation of a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent and misdemeanor driving while intoxicated while on Bear Mountain Bridge Road in Cortlandt. The incident reportedly was at 8:15 p.m., Sept. 29.
  • James Gallery, 51, of Montrose, was charged with misdemeanor operation of a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent and misdemeanor driving while intoxicated while on Route 9 in the Town of Cortlandt. The incident was reported at 3:05 a.m. Sept. 30.
  • George J. Landers, 24, of Croton, was charged with misdemeanor possession of a hypodermic instrument, misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation and misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance on Springvale Road at 7 p.m. Sept. 27.
  • Darla A. Cretara, 42, of Buchanan, was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and several traffic infractions while on Roa Hook Road in Cortlandt. The incident was reported at 12:30 a.m. Sept. 29.
  • Craig E. Dyckman, 32, of Cortlandt Manor, was charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance while on Kings Ferry Road. The incident was reported at 4:20 p.m. Monday.
