Men Charged In Two-State Robbery Spree That Includes Cortlandt

YONKERS, N.Y. -- New York State Police charged two Yonkers men in connection with several armed robberies, including a gas station in Cortlandt, according to authorities. 

Nicholas Fiore and his accomplice, Michael Caccavale, have also been implicated in several other armed robberies.

Michael Caccavale, 35, was arrested following a search in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan on Thursday. Caccavale was detained and remanded to Westchester County Jail without bail, police said. 

Nicholas Fiore, 34, was arrested following a traffic stop conducted in Yonkers on Monday. He was also remanded to county jail in lieu of $50,000 bail, police said. 

Caccavale and Fiore have also been implicated in armed robberies in Dutchess and Rockland County in New York and multiple jurisdictions in Connecticut.  Additional charges are expected, police said.
