Cortlandt Man Found Asleep In Car Charged With DWI, Police Say

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Miro A. Pascale, a 30-year-old Cortlandt Manor resident, has been charged with driving while intoxicated after he allegedly fell asleep in his car on the Taconic State Parkway on Monday, according to New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks.

Police said troopers patrolling the parkway in the area of Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park observed a Jeep stopped in the middle lane. Officers approached the vehcile and identified Pascale sleeping in the driver's seat, police said. Further investigation revealed that Pascale was intoxicated, police said. 

Pascale provided a positive breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content  of .21 percent, which is more than two times the legal limit of intoxication, according to police. 

Pascale was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Yorktown Court on Thursday, April 23.
