YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – A local man has been charged with allegedly shoplifting food at Turco's in Yorktown Heights, according to Yorktown Police.

Police charged Daniel L. Natiello, 36, of Yorktown Heights, with petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor, they say.

Officers responded to Turco's, located at 300 Downing Drive, for a reported shoplifter in custody on Oct. 19 at approximately 7:40 p.m., according to police.

Following an investigation, it is alleged that Natiello took hot food from the buffet valued at $37.24, and concealed it in a Turcos bag, then exited the store without paying for the items, police say.

He was taken to Yorktown Police Department for processing, according to police.

Police issued Natiello an appearance ticket, they say. He is due in court Dec. 1, according to police.
