Man Charged With Pushing, Kicking Woman In Yorktown

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A Putnam Valley man was charged with attempted assault after pushing a woman to the ground and then kicking her, according to Yorktown police.

Zachary Heady, 24, was charged after police received a call from a woman who said he had pushed her to the ground and kicked her in the back on Kear Street on Sunday.

Officers located Heady around 4:14 p.m. the same day on Commerce Street where he was arrested for the assault, in addition to possession of marijuana, police said.

Heady is being held at the Westchester County Jail on $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 13.
