Man Charged With Distributing Crystal Meth In Westchester Bust

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – A Yorktown man has been charged as part of a bust after allegedly distributing crystal meth throughout Westchester County on Wednesday, according to Yorktown police.

Peter A. Laqueur , 66, has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh, a class A misdemeanor.

Brian T. Zignego, 43, has also been charged with criminal possession of controlled substance in the seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Police said on Wednesday, May 6, Yorktown police officers in conjunction with the Westchester County Northern Drug Task Force and Westchester County Department of Public  Safety, executed a search warrant at 1660 Hunterbrook Road.

The search warrant was the culmination of a lengthy investigation between multiple law enforcement agencies investigating the packaging and distribution of “crystal meth” throughout Westchester County, police said.

Subsequent to the execution of this search warrant, its alleged that the two defendants were in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and its alleged that Laqueur was intending to sell methamphetamine, police said. Laqueur and Zignego were not at the residence during the initial search warrant and were arrested on Wednesday, May 13.

The two defendants were processed at Yorktown police headquarters and Zignego was released on his own recognizance. He is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, June 4 at 6 p.m. Laqueur was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Laconia. He was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail and is to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, May 19 at 6 p.m.
