Man Charged With Burglary, Menacing With Airsoft Gun In Jefferson Valley

YORKTOWN, N.Y. –  A Jefferson Valley man was arrested on burglary and menacing charges, according to a Yorktown Police report.

Police said a call was received at about 1:18 a.m. Thursday, July 17, from the manager of Steinman Magic Carpets. The manager was in a parking lot of the Jefferson Valley Mall, 650 Lee Blvd., and called to report that an unidentified male had entered the store and pointed what looked to be a handgun at him, and then fled on foot.

Responding police officers Robert Doerr, Daniel Kaen and Robert Pavletich found a suspect matching the description.

Kaen said that after an investigation, Daniel J. Ucci, 24, was accused of entering the business, where he found the store manager asleep, and he was accused of pointing a black airsoft gun at the manager before running away.

Officers arrested Ucci and took him to police headquarters, where he was charged with burglary in the second degree, a class C felony, and menacing in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.

He was arraigned before Town Justice Salvatore Lagonia, released on $10,000 bail.and ordered to return to Yorktown Town Court on July 22.
